Emergency Ultrasound

If your Dog or Cat is Vomiting, not Urinating, has been Hit by Car, Breathing Abnormally or not eating our Veterinarian Ultrasonographer may recommend an Ultrasound for your furry loved one.

Emergency Ultrasound is Performed Immediately to Identify:

  • Any Free Fluid
  • Internal Masses
  • Obvious Abnormalities

What to Expect with an Emergency Ultrasound

  • Your Pet may be administered a Safe Sedative and will be shaved in the area necessary to perform the Ultrasound.  In some cases, no sedative is required.
  • The Diagnostic Ultrasound may determine the Treatment Plan or may result in the recommendation of further complementary Diagnostic Tests.

  • Our Veterinarian will perform a Comprehensive Exam
  • Your Pet may be administered a Safe Sedative and will be shaved in the area necessary to perform the Ultrasound.  In some cases, no sedative is required.
  • Your Pet will be Carefully Monitored by our experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians
  • The Ultrasound will aid in determining the Treatment Plan and further Diagnostic Tests.

What to Expect with an Abdominal Ultrasound

  • Our Veterinarians will start with a complete Comprehensive Exam that may include EKG, Diagnostic Blood Work, Fecal,  Urinalysis and Digital Radiology.
  • Your Pet may be administered a Safe Sedative and may be shaved in the area necessary to perform the Ultrasound. In some cases, no sedative is required.
  • Your Pet will be Carefully Monitored by our experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians.
  • The Ultrasound will be reviewed collaboratively with our Veterinarians and Board Certified Radiologist to arrive at a diagnosis.
